You’re Invited to an Unveiling!

On Saturday, October 24th, Scouts, Scouters, board members from numerous non-profits and distinguished guests will gather to celebrate the history of Scouting in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.  That’s the day that we unveil the statue of Daniel Carter Beard…”Uncle Dan”.

This statue was made possible by long-time Scouting volunteer and benefactor Bob Griffin.  When you see Bob, please thank him for his gift of time and treasure.

This statue will be a landmark as well as an iconic image representing the heritage of the Scouting program.  You won’t want to miss this special day as we present Uncle Dan for the first time!  That day only, we will have 200 commemorative council shoulder patches for sale – no more will ever be sold.

The photo is a teaser for what’s to come.  In it, you see Uncle Dan’s hand, covered in a gauntlet holding his walking stick.
