Responsibilities

Social Media:

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with business goals. 
  • Content Creation: Create, curate, and manage published content (images, videos, written). 
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns, including promotions and advertisements. 
  • Engagement: Interact with users, respond to comments and messages, and foster a community around the brand. 
  • Analytics: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, providing insights for improvement. 

Email Marketing:

  • Campaign Creation: Design and execute email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, promotions, and automated drip campaigns. 
  • Content Development: Write compelling and engaging email content, including subject lines, body text, and calls to action. 
  • List Management: Manage email lists, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and optimizing deliverability. 
  • A/B Testing: Conduct A/B tests to optimize email performance.
  • Analytics: Track and analyze email campaign performance, providing regular reports and actionable insights.

Additional Projects:

  • Compelling Content: Write, edit, and publish blog posts that inform, entertain, and inspire our readers.
  • Blog Management: Oversee the blog’s calendar, ensuring a steady flow of fresh content.
  • SEO Optimization: Optimize content for search engines to increase visibility and drive organic traffic.
  • Engagement: Respond to comments and engage with readers to build a loyal community.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with all departments to align content with overall company goals.
  • Website Updates: Post blog entries to the organization’s website and assist the Creative Director with website improvements.
Requirements

Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on social media and email marketing. 

Skills:

  • Expert in social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, etc.). 
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer). 
  • Strong knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, HubSpot, Constant Contact). 
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere. 
  • Excellent writing and communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making. 
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.

The Dan Beard Council is an equal opportunity employer. In addition to offering a competitive, starting salary of $42,000 – $45,000/year, the council provides a computer and mileage reimbursement.
