The strong Scouting Program delivered within the Ft. Hamilton District can be linked to the outstanding volunteers throughout all levels who work tirelessly for the youth of our District. Naturally individuals move on as their son progresses, time availability changes, or they feel it is a good time for a change. At the District level we are in need to fill some key positions that have recently become vacant or will at the end of this year. Filling these roles is critical to our ability to “Deliver the Promise” to our youth.

We all know the best way to fill a vacancy is to ask someone. District Volunteers can be parents or leaders who are not currently filling Unit Leader roles like Cubmaster or Scoutmaster and are looking for ways to increase their participation in our Scouting programs, or they can be experienced leaders whose children may have aged out of Scouting and could help in a new way.

If you know of someone you think would be great for a District role, or maybe even you are interested yourself, please let us know. You don’t have to ask the individual: someone from the District Committee will contact them. Furthermore, some of the volunteers who are just now stepping down or have recently done so are willing to work alongside and be a coach to help onboard new volunteers into their roles quickly and effectively.
