Commemorative Council Shoulder Patches Still Available
On October 24th, a limited edition council shoulder patch (CSP) went on sale commemorating the dedication of “Uncle Dan”, the statue of Daniel Carter Beard. If you weren’t able to attend but would still like to buy a CSP, you can do that during normal business hours at the front desk of the Scout Achievement Center.
There are a very limited number left and when they’re gone, their gone. No more will ever be produced. Cost is $10 each and the proceeds from the sale benefit the Robert C. Griffin Summer Camp Staff Scholarship Fund – which provides college scholarships to the young people who work at Camp Friedlander and Cub World. The fund is named after Bob Griffin, who also commissioned the statue.
