How To Enter the Virtual Carved Pumpkin Contest

Start preparing and making your carved Halloween Pumpkin! To qualify for the Boo-Thru Virtual Halloween Pumpkin Carving Contest, you must attend the Boo-Thru event and all pumpkins must be carved by your Scout/child. All pumpkins will be judged on creativity – have fun with it! We wish you the best of luck coming up with the coolest, most creative, and exciting designs. Keep it PG! We aren’t trying to scare anyone and would rather see creative pumpkins than gory or gross.

Take a photo of your pumpkin! Be sure to use good lighting (or light the pumpkin from the inside so it glows) and to get close enough to the camera where we can see all the details you put into your design.

With your parents’ permission and assistance, upload your photo to your social media account (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and tell us about your carved pumpkin design! Your post must include the hashtag #DBCBooThru and tag the Dan Beard Council by typing @DanBeardCouncil to qualify for the Virtual Boo-Thru Pumpkin Carving Contest. Also, if you would like more people to see your amazing carved pumpkin, you can go the extra step and tag @DanBeardCouncil.CubWorld and @Spookoree!
