  • Raft Building
  • Foraging
  • Water Purification
  • Orienteering
  • Wilderness First Aid
  • Pioneering
  • Plant Identification
  • Signaling
  • Astronomy
  • And MORE!

Overview

Scouts registered in the APEX Ranger program will spend Monday planning their Outpost locations and itineraries for Tuesday-Friday. Monday afternoon, they will spend time doing COPE activities around camp.

The group will sleep in their Troop campsite Sunday, Monday, and Friday nights. They will head to their first Outpost location Tuesday Morning, after breakfast.

Scouts will cook 1 or 2 meals a day (Breakfast/Lunch) at their Outpost location. They will return to main camp for Dinner each day, and will have the opportunity to participate in Open and Evening Programming before making their way back to their Outpost for the night.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

The APEX Rangers program is taking the place of the previous Older Scout program – Advanced Camper Experience (ACE).

APEX RANGER PROGRAM REGISTRATION

Scouts 14 and older who may have received their Eagle, or are looking for something other than Merit Badges to participate in.

Registration for APEX Rangers is just like you would register for a Merit Badge. For information on how to select merit badges for Youth already registered in a unit registration or Individual Participants, see the Registration System Walk-through slides or the Registration Demo video.

This program is structured to run All-Day (M-F) with 3 Outposts (Tues-Friday).
However, we understand that some older Scouts may still need to take an Eagle Required Merit Badge. The system will allow you to register a Scout in the APEX Ranger Program AND in Merit Badge courses. We are willing to work with those Scouts, but if a Scout needs more than 1 Merit Badge, we encourage them not to register for the APEX Rangers.
