Whether you are a new parent or have been involved in Scouting for several years now, you will be amazed by the amount of Scouting support around you. Other parents, Unit Leaders, Unit Commissioners, professional staff and more, help to make up a Scouting network of support. Together, we provide the Scouting program to over 33,000 youth in the Dan Beard Council.
The council is sub-divided into eight districts that are directly reponsible for the operation of the Scouting units within geographic areas. Each district is staffed by volunteers and at least one professional responsible for the successful delivery of the Scouting program. Districts provide volunteer trainings, programs such as camporees and Pinewood Derbies, commissioner service, and other functions to support Packs, Troops, and Crews.
