CAMPSITE AT HOME CONTEST

The Dan Beard Council, Boy Scouts of America would like to invite all of our Scouts to participate in our Campsite At Home Contest through our Scouting At Home video series. Come rain, snow, sleet, or social distancing, our Scouts will still camp! Scouts, go grab your gear and build an awesome campsite with your family in your home! Be sure to take a photo and enter our contest which will run Wednesday, April 1, 2020 through Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at 11:59pm. The winners will be announced on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 5pm. The criteria the campsites will be judged on are creativity and practicality so time to get creative and be sure to have fun with your campsites!

How To Enter The Contest

step 1

STEP 1: Set up a campsite at your home. It could be in your backyard, living room, or wherever you and your parents can think of to set it up. Time to get creative!

STEP 2: Take a photo of your campsite. Some helpful tips are to wear your uniform, take a photo in an area that has a lot of light, show the entire space (if possible) and have fun with it!

STEP 3: To submit your photo for entry in the Campsite At Home contest, log in to Facebook and create a post from your personal account and tag the Dan Beard Council by typing @DanBeardCouncil into your post. Be sure to add the hash tag #CampAtHomeDBC. This will allow us to see the photo of your amazing campsite and enter you into the contest. You must tag the Dan Beard Council in order to enter the contest.

Please Note:

  • The Campsite At Home contest runs from Wednesday, April 1 through Wednesday, April 8, 2020 ending at 11:59pm.
  • Winners will be announced on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 5pm.
  • Entries must be posted on Facebook with the tag @DanBeardCouncil and hash tag #CampAtHomeDBC to be entered into the contest. Photos without the tag will not be seen by the Dan Beard Council, therefor not a valid entry. Please see the contact below if you are unable to tag the Council in your post.
