We can't wait to see you at camp!
Each of our four camps has something different to offer. Explore our camps and their facilities by selecting a link below. You will be brought to a page with full desciptions of the facilities at that camp and some tips on how to make the most of your event.
The Dan Beard Council is happy to offer use of our Council Camps, Equipment, and Programs throughout the year. Non-summer usage of DBC Camps includes reservations of campsites, shelters, and program centers, equipment rental, tours, use of the shooting ranges, COPE/Climbing, aquatics events, hiking, and much more!
Booking of these facilities, equipment, and activities is all processed through the new ScoutTools Reservation system. Because of high demand of our facilities and our need to know who and when the properties are being used, we require all reservations be made with at least 72 hours advanced notice. Some reservations, such as those for COPE/Climbing activities, shooting range use, or swimming/boating, require 30 days’ notice or more. As you make your camp reservations, the check-out process will allow you to submit payment by e-check, credit/debit card, or use of available funds in your unit account. Any payments of cash or checks must be submitted at the Scout Achievement Center in Evendale.
Our camps have high usage nearly every weekend, so we encourage you to make your reservations as far in advance as possible to confirm the facilities you want. Our camps have something for everyone; we look forward to hosting your group!
Here are the steps to make your camp facility reservation...
Safety is our number one priority, and it is important to us to provide a great experience to everyone who uses our camps. All our camp properties are operated following the policies and guidelines of the Boy Scouts of America. In addition, we have established several guidelines to ensure a smooth reservation process, promote safety, and protect our camps and equipment for future use.
It is important that everyone who visits camp be aware of the camp usage guidelines. Not only will you help us promote safety and a pleasant visit, but knowing and understanding these guidelines will help you know what to expect and be prepared for any restrictions that may be applicable to your event planning.Last Updated on Monday, 13 April 2015 12:26
Rental costs for all of the camp facilities are reasonable. Scouting units and chartered organizations receive membership pricing, and camping for Scouts at council camps is always free. Non-profit groups also receive a reduced rate and are encouraged to hold their events at our camps. Corporate groups will find that our facility costs are very attractive and the programs available make our camps the perfect place to hold your business event.
While the camp facilities can be rented for most of the year, there are several times, including during the summer camp season, when the camps are not available for reservations. Knowing when the camps are open to outside groups can help you plan your event and pick the best time for your outing...Last Updated on Thursday, 24 January 2013 16:16
