


While there are no age requirements on badges, badges vary in difficulty, so Scouts and leaders should use good judgment when choosing merit badge classes to be taken at camp...
Most badges require completion some requirements prior to arrival in order for the merit badge to be completed at camp. Scouts should purchase and study the respective merit badge pamphlet for exact requirements and preparation on learning the skills involved with the badge. For the summer of 2013, the following merit badge classes will be offered:

- Citizenship in the Nation (Req. #2a,2b,2c) (Bring copies of USA Today and a list of Congress & Senator men and women).
- Citizenship in the World
- Climbing (Not recommended for younger Scouts. Must submit "Element of Danger Statement" upon arrival at camp.
- Communication Req. #5
- Cooking (Req. #6 ,#7d)
- COPE
- Disabilities Awareness (Req. # 2, 4a, 4b or 4c)
- Electricity Req. #2
- Emergency Preparedness Req. #1, 2c,8b,8c (Not recommended for Scouts who have not completed the 8th grade).
- Engineering
- Environmental Science Req. #4 (Can be done at camp, will be time consuming) not recommended for younger Scouts.
